SEATTLE — A popular weather app issued a formal apology Thursday after the actual weather failed to match the weather it had confidently promised.

“We understand many users arranged their clothing around a small yellow circle,” the statement read. “We regret that the sky pursued an independent strategy.”

Corrective measures

The company pledged to replace the phrase “zero percent chance of rain” with “we feel pretty good about this.”

The forecast has since been updated to include sun, clouds, rain, wind, and a tiny symbol nobody can identify.
